Upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara melalui metode diskusi kelompok pada siswa kelas xii SMA Bung Karno Karanganyar tahun ajaran 2008-2009

Abstrak Purpose of this research is to: (1) improving the quality of process study skill talks with to apply group discussion method to the second year student of SMA Bung Karno Karangpandan, Karanganyar; (2) improving the quality of result of study skill talk with to apply group discussion method to the second year student of SMA Bung Karno Karangpandan, Karanganyar. This research using cycle class research approach, which is collaborative research, among teacher and the researcher to overcome existing problems in study. Data source of this research for example: event process study converse, informant (Language subject curator teacher and Indonesia art, the second year student of SMA Bung Karno), document (Plan Execution Study, photograph activity [of] study, result of student test, result of interview). Technique data collecting that used is observation, interview, document analysis, and test. To test researcher data validity use technique triangulates the source of informant review and data. Gathered to be data to be analyzed with technique analyze interactive pursuant to efficacy indicator which have been specified. Research process executed in three cycles with four phases at every It’s cycle, that is planning phase, execution phase, observation phase, and also analyze and reflex phase. Result of this research inferential that: (1) applying group discussion can improve the quality of study process converse. This matter [is] marked at the height of motivation and enthusiasm learn student which mounting become 85% (41 student from 48 student) and active student amount in activity [of] study mount equal to 75% (36 student from overall of student amounting to 48 student), (2) applying group discussion can improve the quality of result of study converse. This matter marked at the height of amount of tired student complete boundary. That is I cycle 26 students from 48 students (54%) with average value 66, 4. At II cycle become 37 students (77%) with average value 71 and mount again at III cycle. That is 48 students (98%) with average value 77, 3
