ABSTRAK Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar geografi antara yang menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Jigsaw dengan Metode Ceramah Tanya Jawab pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2009/2010. Sampel diambil dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas XI IPS 1 dan kelas XI IPS 2. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar siswa dengan teknik tes dalam bentuk tes obyektif pilihan ganda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh thitung sebesar 5,301 sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1,68 sehingga H0 ditolak karena thitung > ttabel. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar geografi antara yang menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Jigsaw dengan Metode Ceramah Tanya Jawab pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. Penggunaan metode pembelajaran jigsaw lebih baik daripada metode ceramah tanya jawab. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the difference of geography learning result between using Jigsaw Learning Method with Lecture Question Answer Method on students in XI class SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. This research using an experimental research method. The population is all students of XI IPS class SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta in Academic Year of 2009/2010. Samples are taken by simple random sampling technique. The chosen sample is class XI IPS 1 and class XI IPS 2. . The selected samples are class XI IPS 1 and class XI IPS 2. Data collection techniques of the students result learning with test techniques in the form of multiple choice objective Data analysis techniques used with a t-test. The results obtained for t count 5,301 while t table value of 1,68, so that H0 is rejected because of t count > t table. This shows that there are differences in geography learning result between using Jigsaw Learning Method with Lecture Question Answer Method on Students in XI Class of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The use of jigsaw learning method is better than lecture question answer method.
