ABSTRACT Wages are fundamental problems in the affairs employement and industrial relations in Indonesia. In various industrial actions and demonstrations, wages are always included in the top list of demands for action. Along the higher level of industrializations, wages are an increasingly important source of income. Wages are fringe benefit provided by companies to its workers. The purpose of this study is to determine total wage setting production employees of PT Djitoe Indonesia Tobako in 2009 and for know the total wages given by company a decent wage for production employees. Total wages in this study refers to the amount of principal wages plus a fixed allowance, and non-fixed allowance. The need to live decent life based on the needs must be met by the workers and their families in order measured with reasonable living needs in accordance with 46 components Regulation of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigrations Number : Per-17/Men/VIII/2005.
