ABSTRAK Organisasi dapat berkembang dengan baik apabila organisasi tersebut menggunakan semua sumber dayanya dengan efektif dan efisien. Untuk mendapatkan hal itu maka diperlukan standarisasi pekerjaan, misalnya Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Dapatlah kita melihat bahwa waktu siklus yang diperlukan oleh operator dalam melakukan pekerjaan pekerjaan sangat bervariasi, hal ini disebabkan antara lain karena belum standar waktu dalam melakukan pekerjaan, dan pada sisi lain sering kita lihat pihak majemen kesulitan dalam mendapatkan sumber informasi dalam mengidentifikasi permasalahan tersebut. Berdasar identifikasi pada mekanik yang telah dilakukan di PT. Surya Sakti Motor terdapat masalah produktifitas, hal ini ditunjukkan dari waktu siklus yang diperlukan oleh mekanik dalam melakukan pekerjaan servis kendaraan sangat bervariasi. Salah satu cara untuk membangun sistem identifikasi masalah produktifitas tersebut adalah dengan cara menggabungkan konsep waktu baku kedalam SOP pekerjaan perbengkelan. Dengan adanya penggabungan antara dua konsep tersebut maka manajemen dapat membandingkan waktu kerja mekanik dengan waktu baku yang terdapat pada SOP, sehingga permasalahan produktifitas mekanik akan dapat ditemukan.
