Upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca menulis permulaan siswa kelas I melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran terpadu (PTK di SDN 04 Punduhsari)

The primary objective of this research is to improve the initial reading and writing ability of the students in Grade I of State Primary School 04 of Punduhsari, Manyaran sub-district. This research is a classroom action one. It can also be called as a collaborative classroom action research. The research was conducted at State Primary School 04 of Punduhsari, Manyaran sub-district, Wonogiri regency. Based on the results of analysis, conclusions are drawn as follows: (1) the application of integrated learning approach can improve the initial reading and writing ability from the average scores of 65.00 to 75.28; and (2) there are two findings in the application of integrated learning to the initial reading and writing learning, namely: (1) the students with high reading ability have a good writing ability and can complete their task fast; and (2) the students with low reading ability have bad reading ability, and are slow in completing their task.
