The aim of the research were: (1) the application of TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) method assisted by media flash and student worksheet as cooperative learning could improve the quality of learning process in the hydrocarbon subject, (2) the application of TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) method assisted by media flash and student worksheet as cooperative learning could improve the quality of learning result in the hydrocarbon subject. The kind of this research was a Classroom Action Research which was held in two cycles. The implementation phase of the cycle, consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject was the students of class X.7 of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2009/2010. The data were obtained by observation, interview, test, quetionaire, and documentation. We used descriptive qualitatif technique to analize the data. The result of the research shows that (1) The application of TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) method assisted by media flash and student worksheet as cooperative learning could improve the quality of learning process in the hydrocarbon subject. It could be seen from the implementation of cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I, the average percentage of student activism was 70.91% and increased to 76.88% in cycle II. (2) The application of TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) method assisted by media flash and student worksheet as cooperative learning could improve the quality of learning result in the hydrocarbon subject. It was divided into three different aspects. The first was the students’ learning completion aspect, the result could be seen from the implementation test of cycle I and cycle viii II. In cycle I, the students’ learning completion was 77.27% and decreased into the level of 72.72% in cycle II. Although the students’ learning completion was decrease, but the students’ ability in answering questions was increase. It was 79,54% at cycle I and rose to 88,06% in cycle II on the category of easy questions. The ability of the students also increased on the category of medium questions, from 76,62% in cycle I to 76,81% in cycle II. On the last category, difficult questions, the number increased smoothly from 62,33% to 63,83%. The second was the students satisfaction aspect. The result of cycle II was 83.34%, increased for 0.76% compared to cycle I which was 82.58%. The last aspect was affection, the result still shown significant rise in cycle II. On cycle I, it was 74.73% and on the cycle II it was 76.08%. Key word: classroom action research, teams games tournamets, learning quality Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) apakah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) berbantuan media flash dilengkapi LKS dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar pada materi pokok hidrokarbon, (2) apakah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) berbantuan media flash dilengkapi LKS dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar pada materi pokok hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklusnya terdapat empat tahapan yang terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.7 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2009/2010. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan, wawancara, observasi, tes, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif TGT (Teams Games Toments) berbantuan media flash dilengkapi LKS dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar pada materi pokok hidrokarbon. Hal ini dapat dilihat dalam pelaksanaan siklus I dan siklus II. Pada siklus I persentase keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran adalah 70,91% dan meningkat menjadi 76,88% pada siklus II. (2) Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) berbantuan media flash dilengkapi LKS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia materi pokok hidrokarbon. Dalam penelitian ini, hasil belajar siswa meliputi tiga aspek, yaitu aspek ketuntasan belajar, aspek kepuasan siswa terhadap pembelajaran dan aspek afektif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tes siklus I dan siklus II, vi persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 77,27% pada siklus I dan 72,72% pada siklus II. Walaupun ketuntasan belajar siswa menurun, tetapi kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal meningkat pada siklus II. Pada siklus I kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal dengan kategori mudah adalah 79,54% dan meningkat menjadi 88,06% pada siklus II. Kemampuan siswa juga meningkat untuk soal dengan kategori sedang dari 76,62% pada siklus I menjadi 76,81% pada siklus II. Kategori terakhir yaitu soal sukar, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan siswa dari 62,33% pada siklus I menjadi 63,83% pada siklus II. Dilihat dari aspek kepuasan siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang diterapkan, terdapat peningkatan persentase dari 82,58% pada siklus I menjadi 83,34% pada siklus II. Sedangkan dari aspek afektif, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan persentase dari 74,73% pada siklus I menjadi 76,08% pada siklus II.
