Abstract
The aim of this research are to find out: (1) whether there is a significant
influence of educational staff’s interpersonal communication toward the student’s
study achievement of communication science in Class IX at even semester of
SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta, (2) whether there is a significant influence of student’s
learning facility toward the student’s study achievement of communication
science at Class IX at even semester of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta, (3) whether
there is a significant influence of educational staf’s interpersonal communication
and learning facility mutually toward student’s study achievement of
communication science at Class IX at even semester of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta.
The location of the research is SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. The type of the
research is Quantitative Descriptive, the population is about 79 students and the
sample is about 40 students with the sampling technique of random proportional
sampling. The data collection is done by using questiionnaire and documentation
technique. Try out is done to the students of Class IX at even semester of SMK
Negeri 6 Surakarta, that is toward 30 students who are outside the reserach sample
but are still within the population of the research. The data analysis is done by
using Correlation and Double Regression. Through several counting and analysis
steps done, it is derived that: (1) there is a significant influence of educational
staff’s interpersonal communication toward the student’s study achievement of
communication science in Class IX at even semester of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta.
It is indicated by the value of rcount that is bigger than rtable or 0,432 > 0,312 in 5%
significance level. (2) there is a there is a significant influence of student’s
learning facility toward the student’s study achievement of communication
science at Class IX at even semester of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. It is indicated by
the value of rcount that is bigger than rtable or 0,449 > 0,312. (3) there is a
significant influence of is a significant influence of educational staf’s
interpersonal communication and learning facility mutually toward student’s
study achievement of communication science at Class IX at even semester of
SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta. It can be seen from the value of rcount that is bigger than
rtable or 8,536 > 2,252
Other finding found in the reserah is that the relative contribution of
Educational Staf’s Interpersonal Communication variable {X1) toward study
achievement of communication science (Y) is about 47,43%. relative contribution
of learning facility variable {X2) toward study achievement of communication
science (Y) is about 52,57%. Effective contribution of Educational Staf’s
Interpersonal Communication variable {X1) toward study achievement of
communication science (Y) is about 14,97%. The effective contribution of
learning facility variable {X2) toward study achievement of communication
science (Y) is about 16,60%. The equation result derived from the meassurement
is Yˆ = 6,747 + 0,006 X1+ 0,007 X2 which means that average study
achievement of Communication Science (Y) will increase or decrease for about
0,006 for every increase / decrease of one educational staff’s interpersonal
communication unit (X1) and will increase or decrease for about 0,006 for every
increase / decrease of one learning facility unit (X1).
