ABSTACT This final project describes about the functions of public relations of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta in maintaining good corporate image in the public point of view. The objectives of this report are to know the functions of Public Relations through working activities done in PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta and to know how PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta shows the corporate image to the customers. To make this final project report, the writer uses several methods. The methods are collecting data, discussing, and concluding the data. The data of the report were gained through joining and observing the public relations activities. This study finds that the officers have their jobs which the descriptions are contained by the functions of public relations. It is done in order to support the professional activities in maintaining good corporate image. The result implicates that all officers of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta have organized jobs having connection with public relations functions. The purposes are giving the best services to the public, growing with the health business concepts, caring to the environments, etc. All of the purposes are meant to maintain good corporate image in public point of view. In the end of this final project report, the writer gives suggestions to PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta to improve its professional activities.
