Pembelajaran IPA melalui metode demonstrasi menggunakan media animasi dan 2 dimensi ditinjau dari kemampuan tingkat berpikir dan gaya belajar siswa

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran media animasi dan 2D terhadap prestasi belajar IPA; 2) Pengaruh perbedaan tingkat kemampuan berpikir siswa terhadap prestasi belajar IPA; 3) Pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar IPA; 4) Interaksi media pembelajaran dan kemampuan berfikir terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; 5) Interaksi media pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; 6) Interaksi kemampuan berfikir dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; 7) Interaksi media pembelajaran, kemampuan berfikir dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pembelajaran dengan media animasi untuk kelompok eksperimen 1 dan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media 2 dimensi untuk kelompok eksperimen 2, metode yang digunakan demonstrasi. Setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran prestasi belajar diukur dengan tes, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir dan gaya belajar diukur sebelum pembelajaran. Kemampuan berpikir dan gaya belajar diukur dengan angket. Hasil analisis penelitian adalah: 1) Ada pengaruh pembelajaran IPA dengan media animasi dan media 2 dimensi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0,000 lebih kecil daripada α = 0,05 pembelajaran dengan media animasi menghasilkan prestasi lebih baik dibanding media 2 dimensi; 2) Tidak ada pengaruh kemampuan berfikir abstrak dan konkrit terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.262 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05; 3) Tidak ada pengaruh dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestatis terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.475 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05; 4) Tidak ada pengaruh media pembelajaran dan kemampuan berfikir terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.982 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05; 5) Tidak ada pengaruh media pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.257 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05; 6) Tidak ada pengaruh kemampuan berfikir dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.914 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05; 7) Tidak ada pengaruh media pembelajaran, kemampuan berfikir dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, p = 0.177 lebih besar daripada α = 0,05. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis pembelajaran IPA dengan media animasi dan media 2 dimensi terdapat pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Media animasi memberikan prestasi hasil belajar lebih baik dari pada media 2 dimensi, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir konkrit dan kemampuan berpikir abstrak, serta gaya belajar siswa baik visual, auditorial dan kinestatis siswa didapat hasil tidak terdapat pengaruh. ABSTRACT This research aims at finding out: 1) the effect of the use of the animation and 2-Dimension learning media on the learning achievement in Natural Science, 2) the effect of the thinking ability levels of the students towards the learning achievement in Natural Science, 3) the effect of the learning styles of the students towards the learning achievement in Natural Science, 4) the effect of the learning media and the thinking ability levels of the students on their learning achievement, 5) the effect of the learning media and the learning styles on their learning achievement, 6) the effect of the thinking ability levels and the learning styles of the students on their learning achievement, and 7) the effect of the learning media, the thinking ability levels, and the learning styles of the students on their learning achievement. This research was carried out by conducting the Natural Science learning with the use of the animation media for experimental group 1, the Natural Science learning with the use of the 2-dimension media for experimental group 2. Both groups used the demonstration learning methods. Following the learning process, they were given a test. The scores of the test were used as the dependent variable, whereas the concrete thinking ability, the abstract thinking ability, and the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles were used as the moderator variable The results of the analysis are as follows. 1) There is an effect the Natural Science Learning with the animation and 2-dimension media on the learning achievement of the students as indicated by p = 0.000 < α = 0.05. 2) There is not any effect of the Natural Science learning with the abstract thinking ability and the concrete thinking ability on the learning achievement of the students as shown by p = 0.262 > α = 0.05. 3) There is not any effect of the Natural Science learning with the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles on the learning achievement of students as pointed out by p = 0.475 > α = 0.05. 4) There is not any effect of the learning media use and the thinking ability levels on the learning achievement of the students as suggested by p = 0.982 > α = 0.05. 5) There is not any effect of the learning media use and the learning styles on the learning achievement of the students as signified by p = 0.257 > α = 0.05. 6) There is not any effect of the thinking ability levels and the learning styles on the learning achievement of the students as shown by p = 0.914 > α = 0.05. 7) There is not any effect of the learning media use, the thinking ability levels, and the learning styles on the learning achievement of the students as denoted by p = 0.177 > α = 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis, a conclusion is drawn that the Natural Science learning with the use of dimension and 2-dimension learning media has an effect on the learning achievement of the students. The use of the animation media results in a better learning achievement than that of the 2-dimension media whereas the concrete thinking ability, the abstract thinking ability, and the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles do not have any effect on the learning achievement of the students.
