ABSTRACT Webhosting development in Indonesia is growing rapidly and promise, along with the development and use of Internet technology. This development must be followed by companies more and more competitive in the hosting industry. Webhosting is one form of rental services on the Internet that enables individuals or organizations to display a web page on the Internet. Currently almost all web hosting companies that use the interface to pay much, so the user or users in wearing expensive to have a hosting with a maximum capacity. Can be concluded that the web hosting needs can not be avoided, so that here the authors take the initiative to create a product with a server hosting a free user interface. At the time the website has been created and the web so it can be seen by everyone on the Internet so we need a system that is usually called the Web Server. With the use of the Linux operating system with Debian Lenny 5.0 software contained therein, we can create their own web hosting with the same facilities as a webhosting company that provides web hosting services. ABSTRAK Perkembangan webhosting di Indonesia semakin pesat dan menjanjikan, seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan penggunaan internet. Perkembangan ini tentunya diikuti dengan semakin banyaknya perusahaan yang bersaing dalam industri hosting. Webhosting adalah salah satu bentuk layanan jasa penyewaan tempat di internet yang memungkinkan perorangan ataupun organisasi menampilkan suatu halaman web di Internet. Saat ini hampir semua perusahaan web hosting banyak sekali yang menggunakan interface berbayar, sehingga user atau pengguna di kenakan biaya yang cukup mahal untuk mempunyai hosting dengan kemampuan yang maksimal. Dapat di simpulkan bahwa kebutuhan web hosting tidak dapat terelakkan, sehingga di sini penulis mengambil inisiatif membuat produk hosting server dengan interface user yang free. Pada saat website sudah selesai dibuat dan supaya web tersebut dapat dilihat oleh semua orang di Internet maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem yang biasa disebut dengan Web Server. Dengan pemanfaatan sistem operasi Linux Debian Lenny 5.0 dengan software-software yang terdapat didalamnya, kita dapat membuat webhosting sendiri dengan fasilitas yang sama seperti perusahan webhosting yang menyediakan layanan webhosting. Penulis menggunakan jaringan lokal sebagai uji coba dalam pembuatan webhosting ini.
