Tindak tutur ekspresif dalam adegan gara-gara pada pertunjukan wayang kulit oleh Dalang Kl.H. Anom Suroto

This research is descriptive qualitative research. It is about expressive speech act in the scene gara-gara of the wayang kulit show played by Ki.H. Anom Suroto. This research is intended to describe the form of expressive speech act and the intention of expressive speech act in the scene gara-gara of the wayang kulit show played by Ki.H. Anom Suroto.

Pragmatic approach is used to analize the data. The data of this research was in the spoken, its utterances of abdi Panakawan dialogues in the scene gara-gara, which is taken from the lakon Bima Bungkus, Semar Boyong and Semar Mbangun Kahyangan.

Based o n the data analysis, this research found four syntax categories as lingual sign to sign form of expressive speech act. They are 7 words, 11 phrases, 15 clauses, and 10 sentences. The lingual sign form of the words, phrases, clauses and sentences, functioned to sign 21 intentions of expressive speech act which in the scene gara-gara. They are (1) ‘to thank God’, (2) ‘to thank’ (3) ‘to apologize’ (4) ‘to give a praise’ (5) ‘to suspect’ (6) ‘to admite’ (7) ‘to be mercy’ (8) ‘to mock’ (9) ‘to dodge’ (10) ‘to complaint’ (11) ‘to grumble’ (12) ‘to insult’ (13) ‘to respect’ (14) ‘to criticize’ (15) ‘to reject’ (16) ‘to accuse’ (17) ‘to blame’ (18) ‘to welcome’ (19) ‘to be regret’ (20) ‘to tease’ (21) ‘to congratulate or being happy’.

The result of this research shows that the lingual sign form of expressive speech act can be in the form of word, phrase, clause, and sentence. o ne or more lingual sign forms of expressive speech act can express a certain intention.

Based o n the contexts, in determining an intention of expressive speech act is influenced by physically context (message, participant and setting of the speech), epistemic context (purpose, situation of the speech), linguistic context (language and intonation), and social context (social status and social distance).
