ABSTRACT
The research aims to find out the: (1) how the role of Tutoring Institute "Elian
Center" Purwokerto in the effort to improve children's learning achievements of
learning difficulties, (2) Role of Tutoring Institute "Elian Center" Purwokerto in
the planning and preparation of treatment and assistance to children learning
difficulties, (3) the problems faced by the Institute Tutoring "Elian Center"
Purwokerto.
This research employed an experimental method with qualitative discription. This
research strategy is glued single case study. Source of data used are informants,
places and events as well as data and documents. Data collection techniques
through document analysis, observation, and interviews. Sampling techniques
(sample) is used snowball sampling technique. Validity of data is the data and
review Trianggulasi informants. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of
qualitative data with an interactive model or the interactive model of analysis.
The study concluded that: Tutoring Institute "Elian Center" Purwokerto in efforts
to improve children's learning achievements of learning difficulties can result in
quite positive in terms of services provided went well, so as to enhance children's
learning achievements of learning difficulties. These institutions can assist
children to overcome learning difficulties remains the difficulty that can follow
such as education of other children the same age in regular schools. Problems
faced by Elian Center in the implementation of education services for children
learning difficulties is Elian Center receive scant attention from the National
Education Office in providing good support and infrastructure facilities. Lack of
understanding of parents and teachers in regular schools about children learning
difficulties. Sources of funding to improve the quality and quantity of facilities
and infrastructure is still less.
