Abstrak

The research objectives is improving student learning outcomes and processes in Science subjects Buildings (IBG) with learning model Problem Based Learning. This research is a class action (classroom action research) conducted in two cycles. First cycle begins with identification of existing problems in the classroom, planning, preparation steps such as learning through the use of Problem Based Learning teaching model (PBL), action, observation, evaluation, analysis and reflekasi for action o n the second cycle. Subjects were students of class X of the Building Construction Engineering SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta academic year 2009/2010. Data were obtained through questionnaires and satisfaction to affective learning, and psychomotor domain of teachers while teaching performance is obtained by observation. To analyze the data using an interactive analysis techniques. Based o n research results indicate that the use of learning methods Problem Based Learning (PBL) can enhance the process and results of class X student of SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta TKB academic year 2009/2010 o n the subjects sub Sciences Building foundation material. It can be seen from the results of research. Results of students' mastery of cognitive domains (Pre Cycle = 70.59%; Cycle I = 82.35%; Cycle II = 90%). Student questionnaire results in the affective realm (Cycle I = 77.59%; Cycle II = 80.62%%). Psychomotor domain of student learning outcomes to aspects of readiness (Cycle I = 90.79%; Cycle II = 96.67%), while for the aspect of adjustment (Cycle I = 46.70%; Cycle II = 80.01%). Performance teacher assessment results in classroom management (Pre Cycle = 58.33%; Cycle I = 70.83%; Cycle II = 77.08%).
