Pengaruh kurkumin dan omega-3 terhadap survival mencit balb/c model sepsis cecal inoculum

ABSTRACT Effect of Curcumin and Omega-3 on Survival of Balb/C Mice Cecal Inoculum Sepsis Model, Sebelas Maret University School of Medicine. Aim of the Study: The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of curcumin and omega-3 on balb/c mice cecal inoculum sepsis model. Methods: 32 balb/c male mice with weight + 17-20 grams and 4-6 weeks old were used to this study. Mice divide by 2 groups with 16 mices for each group, we observe the survival for 7 days. Every mice induced by an intraperitoneally injection 8 mg/mice/day of cecal inoculum. Cecal inoculum created new everyday by mixed 200 mg cecal material with 5 ml sterile dextrose water 5% (D5W). Data were analyzed with chi square test. Results: mice without curcumin and omega-3 had 37,5% survival and mice with curcumin and omega-3 had 50% survival. But acording to statistical analysis this is not significant because p>0,476. Conclusions: there is no effect of curcumin and omega-3 on survival of balb/c mice cecal inoculum sepsis model.
