PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL BANGUN DATAR SEDERHANA MENURUT SIFATNYA DENGAN MODEL STUDENT TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) PADA SISWA KELAS III SD N BRONGKOL 02 KECAMATAN JAMBU KABUPATEN SEMARANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2009/2010. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar sederhana menurut sifatnya dengan model Student Achievement Division (STAD) pada siswa kelas III SD N Brongkol 02 Kecamatamn Jambu Kabupaten Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2009/2010. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas terdiri dari dua siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Sebagai subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SD N Brongkol 02. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan non tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif yang terdiri dari dua komponen analisis yaitu komparatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) adanya peningkatan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar sederhana menurut sifatnya yang diperoleh siswa dari sebelumnya pada tes awal 55; kemudian pada tes siklus pertama 73; menjadi 86,25 pada siklus kedua, (2) adanya peningkatan prosentase ketuntasan belajar siswa yang pada tes awal hanya 40%; dan pada tes siklus pertama 80%; kemudian pada siklus kedua menjadi 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui model STAD mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar sederhana menurut sifatnya dengan model Student Achievement Division (STAD) pada siswa kelas III SD N Brongkol 02 Kecamatamn Jambu Kabupaten Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2009/2010. ABILITY IMPROVEMENT TO RECOGNIZE THE SIMPLE SHAPE ACCORDING IT'S CHARACTERISTIC BY STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) METHOD THE THIRD GRADE STUDENTS IN SD N BRONGKOL 02 KECAMATAN JAMBU KABUPATEN SEMARANG ON THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/2010. The objective of this classroom action research is to improve the ability of simple shape to recognize according it's characteristic by Student Achievement Division (STAD) method the third grade students of SD N Brongkol 02 on the academic year 2009/2010. This research is Classrooom Action Research with two cycles, every cycle consists of four steps such as planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research are the third grade students of SD N Brongkol 02. The technique of collecting data is using observation, giving tests and non test also. The technique of analysis is descriptive model which consists of two analysis components such comparative descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The Result of analysis shows (1) The increasing of ability to recoqnize the simple shape according it’s characteristic of the students is in the pretest they have 55, then in the first cycle they get 73, and 86,25 in the second cycle, (2) The percentage improvements of learning thorougness of the students is 40% in the pretest, and 80% in the first cycle, while in the second cycle become 100%. Based on the result above we can conclude that : by method Student Achievement Division (STAD) can improve the student ability of simple shape to recognize according it's characteristic in the third grade students in SD N Brongkol 02 Kecamatan Jambu Kabupaten Semarang on the academic year 2009/2010.
