Abstrak
The Internal Media Used by PT. Pos Indonesia (PERSERO) Surakarta to Support

This final project report is written based on the job training which
was done in PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta. The major aim
of the final project report is to describe the internal media used by
PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta to support the internal
communication.
In writing this final project, the writer uses descriptive method. The
writer collected the data from the resources andalso using some
ways for collecting data, such as observation directly, interview
and using other references. The job training was held on March 3th
2010 to April 30th
2010. The writer’s daily work hours in PT. Pos
Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta were from Monday to Saturday,
from 08.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
In the discussion, the writer describes the kinds of media communication used by PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta for
internal communication. Internal communications focus on the management’s relationship with the employees. Communication
media are needed to perform the internal communication. The communication media that are used by PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero)
Surakarta are written and oral communication media. The written communication media are report, letter, newsletter, graph/chart, fax
and email. Then, the oral communication media are telephone, meeting, reflection and events. The communication media used by
PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta have some benefits, for example, to give and provide information about the organization’s
line business, direction, and goals for employees, to encourage the employees to maintain organization’s quality, to build a good two-
way-dialogue between speaker and audience, to help “personalize” an organization when many people see large organizations as being
excessively impersonal.
