Pengaruh Biaya Promosi Terhadap Volume Penjualan Pada Pt.Wangsa Jatra Lestari Kartasuro

Every company certainly established to reach an objective that is to look for profit and to hold its survival. Such also with PT. Wangsa Jatra Lestari, a company which trying to improve its selling volume using varied promotional mix variable that the promotional expanse will influencing on selling volume obtained by the company. The objective of this research is to know the promotional mix variable used by PT. Wangsa Jatra lestari, to know the promotional expense and selling fluctuation, for 2005-2009 and to know the influence of promotional costs on selling volume in PT. Wangsa Jatra Lestari.PT. Wangsa Jatra Lestari is a printing sector company in which the company is one of Tiga Serangkai Group member. Product of this company are commercial printing (including books, annual report, calendar, brochures, leaflet, magazine, newspaper, coffee table book and paper to make shopping bags and gift boxes); services include products in relation with finishing process and cover service; packaging represent packaged product such like pharmaceuticals (medicine package box),carton case, envelope; cigarrette case and also paper bag.Result of this research are in implementing the promotional mix, PT. Wangsa Jatra Lestari uses three variables, they are: advertisement, marketing promotion, and personal selling. In each year, promotion expenses is fluctuating, but the selling volume is increasingly large. Promotional expenses paid by the company is very influencing on the selling volume. The higher promotion expenses, then the greater selling volume obtained by the company, and conversely do. As the example, in 2009 the annual expense is increased by 69 %, then selling volume is also increased by 90% from the previous year.
