ABSTRACT “THE ANALYSIS OF THE WORK BURDEN AND THE REQUIREMENT FOR MANPOWER AT PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT OF PT DJITOE INDONESIAN TOBACCO COY" FANS MANDASIA F3507083 The work burden holds a very important role toward the production process and supported by the existence of human resources factor, because the production activity is influenced by the manpower capacity to produce a production. By the report of the work burden then it can be known how much the burden that must be obligated by the worker and whether there is surplus on manpower or, conversely, there is minus on manpower. This research is aimed to know the Work Burden and the requirement for Manpower in production department of PT. DJITOE INDONESIAN TOBACCO COY, and to identify several factors that could influence the productivity of manpower such as the motivation, discipline, the work ethic, skills, and education. Technique of data collection used the Work Load Analysis method which is the Analysis of the determination of the requirement for manpower by counting the work burden to complete a work and Work Force Analysis which is the Analysis of the Requirement for manpower by counting on the work burden, the absence level and the level of the turn over. From several data of the company implemented by work load analysis method, it could be known that the requirement for manpower in January 2010 with 192 hours placed to 86 employees, in February 2010 with 184 hours placed to 86 employees, in March with 208 hours placed to 86 employees. By work force analysis, in January 2010 the absence number placed to 75 employees with percentage level of 10.57%, in February 2010 the absence number placed to 109 employees with percentage level of 16.4%, in March 2010 the absence number placed to 104 employees with percentage level of 14.42% Keyword ; Work Burden, Requirement For Manpower ABSTRAK “ ANALISIS BEBAN KERJA DAN KEBUTUHAN TENAGA KERJA PADA BAGIAN PRODUKSI PT DJITOE INDONESIAN TOBACCO COY” FANS MANDASIA F 3507083 Beban kerja memegang peranan yang sangat penting terhadap proses produksi dan dengan didukung adanya faktor sumber daya manusia, karena kegiatan produksi dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan tenaga kerja untuk menghasilkan sebuah produksi. Dengan diketahuinya Beban kerja maka akan dapat diketahui seberapa besar beban yang harus ditanggung oleh pekerja, dan apakah terjadi kelebihan tenaga kerja atau sebaliknya adanya kekurangan tenaga kerja. Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Beban Kerja dan kebutuhan Tenaga Kerja pada bagian produksi PT. DJITOE INDONESIAN TOBACCO COY, serta mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas tenaga kerja yaitu motivasi, kedisiplinan, etoskerja, keterampilan, pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode Work Load Analysis yaitu Analisis penentuan kebutuhan tenaga kerja dengan memperhitungkan beban kerja untuk menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan dan Work Force Analysis yaitu Analisis Kebutuhan tenaga kerja dengan memperhitungkan beban kerja, tingkat absensi dan tingkat turn over. Dari beberapa data perusahaan yang diimplementasikan dengan metode work load analysis dapat diketahui kebutuhan tenaga kerja pada Bulan Januari 2010 dengan 192 jam membebankan pada 86 karyawan , Bulan Februari 2010 dengan 184 jam membebankan pada 86 karyawan, bulan Maret dengan 208 jam membebankan pada 86 karyawan, Dengan Work Force Analysis Bulan Januari 2010 jumlah absensi 75 karyawan tingkat presentase 10,57%, Bulan Februari 2010 jumlah absensi 109 karyawan tingkat presentase 16,4%, Bulan Maret 2010 jumlah absensi 104 karyawan tingkat presentase 14,42%.
