Perbedaan Keefektifan Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Video dengan Fantom dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Pemasangan Kateter pada Mahasiswa

Aids Audio Visual learning media is a kind of support equipment using to stimulate the senses and hearing simultaneously. Video learning media in this study is meant to the distribution of materials by using video, while phantom learning media is meant to the distribution of materials by pointing out the use of phantom. The study is conducted by using Randomized Control Trial which is used to find out the effectiveness of using video learning media and phantom in improving students’ skill inn cathetre assembly for Nursery Education at Diploma III Program. The instrument of this study uses observation sheets catheter assembly’s skill. This study took 80 students with using simple random sampling technique by dividing them into 2 big groups where each group consinsts of 40 students; the first group got video learning media and the second group got phantom learning media. The analysis that used in this study is T – test with P value 0.00 and has a significant different between video and phantom learning media. terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara metode pembelajaran video dan fantom. Based on the result of examination t, the different of score mean in video learning media is 87.4 and the different score of phantom learning media is 66.9. Based on the study above concludes that using video learning media is more effective than phantom learning media in improving student’s ability at catheter assembly for Nursery Education at Diploma III Program. This study recommends that using video learning media is more effective and better to be used if the learning objectives tend to be motorist (moves and activities.
