Pelaksanaan Pengelolaan Limbah Cair Sebagai Upaya Pemenuhan Baku Mutu Limbah Cair Kegiatan Rumah Sakit Di Rumah Sakit Kasih Ibu Surakarta

Objective: To know wheter the management of liquid waste at Kasih Ibu Hospital is in accordance with the government regulations of hospital liquid waste management acivities or not. Methods: This was descriptive research. This research was held in liquid waste management and sanitarian unit at Kasih Ibu hospital Surakarta. The subjects of this research is implementation of liquid waste management in IPAL Kasih Ibu Hospital Surakarta with primary and secondary data. They were compared with life environment minister determination of hospital liquid waste activities standart quality (KEP- 58/MENLH/12/1995) and Indonesian Republic Health Minister Determinition No: 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 about Hospital Environment Health Qualification and Indonesian hospital guidance. Results: Implementation of liquid waste management in Kasih Ibu hospital Surakarta Held in hospital IPAL with Dewats methods. The working system primary management and sedimentation. Secondary management (anerob). Tertiery management (aerob/anaerob) underground flow filtering system. Tertiary management (aerob/anaerob) with pull system. Waste water quality taste was held twice a year by hospital (Dewats and Health Departement) the indicators were Temperature, pH, TSS, COD, BOD, Ammonia, and phosphate. Conclusion: By using Dewats Liquid waste management process suit with Indonesian Republic Health Minister Determination No: 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 about Hospital Environment Health Qualification. Liquid waste test result shows that 2 criteria exceed the maximum limit of indicator standar, namely Ammonia and phosphate are more than 0,1 mg/l and 2,0 mg/l. That is not suit with hospital liquid waste activities standart quality (KEP- 58/MENLH/12/1995). Keywords: Liquid waste management, Hospital, Standart Quality
