This study aims to determine the soundness of the bank at PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun in 2007-2009. The formulation of the problem to be studied is how the health condition of the PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun, including in the category of healthy, quite healthy, less healthy, or unhealthy when viewed with the CAMEL method.In this study, using CAMEL analysis method is a method used to determine the soundness of banks. The data that is needed is a general overview, the balance sheet, income statement PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun and questionnaires for the assessment of management factors. Data collection techniques that is by documentation, interviews, literature. Analysis of data using quantitative analysis method CAMEL.The results obtained in this study five CAMEL factors are all healthy predicate. Thus the hypothesis in this study, suspected health predicate PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun is healthy attested.Advice given to the progress of PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun Given the purpose of which is the establishment of the PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun is to help increase weak economy activities, should the provisions regarding lending policies more geared to the interests of traders, businessmen, and employees who enter on weak economic ranking with the software requirements can be met by possible so that their business potential debtors more productive. And in the face of competition in the banking world is very tight, PD BPR Bank Daerah Kota Madiun should build trust to the public. The steps taken is to increase the company's ability to maintain liquidity remains adequate, participate in the government's deposit insurance program, and provide and maintain a good service to customers
