Sistem Pelaksanaan Kliring Warkat Debet Pada Pt.Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk.Kacab Solo

Using of non-cash payment instruments in the form of check or bill of exchange in the current economic transaction requires banks to have effective systems and efficient clearing, so that customers receive satisfactory service in non-cash transactions. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of the clearing system of debit slips on PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. The steps of the research are done by doing observations of the clearing process executed by clearing staff, understanding and interviewing to clearing staff about company’s standard operating procedures. The conclusion of this research shows that clearing system implemented on PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk are in accordance with company’s standard operating procedures as well as regulation set by Indonesian Bank. But, it does not apply the intercity clearing yet which is able to settle outer region debit slip. Based on the results or research, the author provides a suggestion for company implementing intercity clearing system thus improving service to its customers. Keyword: Clearing System, Clearing Staff
