Tujuan : Penelitian tentang pengaruh jus buah delima (Punica granatum) terhadap kadar LDL darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jus buah delima (Punica granatum) terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Metode : Penelitian pengaruh jus buah delima (Punica granatum) terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) bersifat eksperimental laboratorik dengan desain Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) yaitu pre and post test control group design, dilakukan di Laboratorium Biokimia Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Objek penelitian adalah tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) sebanyak 32 ekor, strain Wistar, umur 3 bulan, berat badan kurang lebih 200 gram. Pembuatan jus buah delima (Punica granatum) menggunakan juicer. Tikus-tikus dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok secara random, masing-masing kelompok terdiri 8 ekor tikus. Semua kelompok diberi pakan hiperkolesterol. Kelompok I sebagai kontrol, kelompok II diberi Simvastatin sebanyak 0,001 gram, kelompok III diberi jus buah delima dosis 3,6 ml, dan kelompok IV diberi jus buah delima dosis 5,4. Semua tikus diperiksa kadar kolesterol LDL darahnya setelah masa perlakuan selama 21 hari. Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus putih dilakuakn di Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengujian Terpadu (LPPT) Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta. Data kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus dianalisa menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA dengan bantuan program SPSS for Windows versi 16. Hasil : Hasil uji one-way ANOVA menunjukkan perbedaan kadar kolesterol LDL total darah yang tidak signifikan dengan nilai p= 0,148 pada keempat kelompok sampel. Simpulan : Kesimpulan pada penelitian adalah tidak ada pengaruh jus buah delima (Punica granatum) terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Penulis menyarankan agar dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan metode yang lebih baik. Objective: The research about the effect of pomegranate juice (Punica granatum) on LDL cholesterol blood level of white rat (Rattus norvegicus), is to know the effect of pomegranate juice (Punica granatum) on LDL cholesterol blood level of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) Methods: The research about the effect of pomegranate juice (Punica granatum) on LDL cholesterol blood level of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) is an eksperimental laboratoric research with randomized controlled trial design, pre and post test control group design, have done in Biochemistry Laboratorium of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, Indonesia. The research subject are 32 male white rats, Wistar strain, 3 months old, and their weight is about 200 gram. Rats are divided into 4 groups, each group consists of 8 rats. All groups were feed with high cholesterol food. Group I as control, group II was added with 0,001 gram of Simvastatin, group III was intervention group with pomegranate juice 3,6 ml and group IV was intervention group with pomegranate juice 5,4 ml. LDL cholesterol blood level of all rats were examined after treatment period during 21 days. The examination of LDL cholesterol blood level of white rat were doing in Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengujian Terpadu (LPPT) Gajah Mada University (GMU) Yogyakarta .The data of LDL cholesterol blood level of rats were analyzed with one-way ANOVA test with SPSS for Windows 16 version program. Result: The result of one-way ANOVA test showed no significant LDL cholesterol blood level difference between 4 groups of rats with p= 0,148. Conclusion: The conclusion of the research is there is no effect of intervention with pomegranate juice on LDL cholesterol blood level of white rat. Researcher suggests to do similar researchs with better methode.
