Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Apakah pembelajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan statistik dengan pendekatan Quantum Learning dengan metode Discovery menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang berbeda dibandingkan dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning. (2) Apakah peserta didik yang kreativitas tinggi mempunyai prestasi belajar lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kretivitas sedang dan rendah, peserta didik yang kreativitas sedang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang kreativitas rendah. (3) Apakah terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dengan kreativitas belajar matematika peserta didik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimental semu (quasi experiment research) dengan menggunakan rancangan faktorial 2x3. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2010 sampai dengan Desember 2010 dengan populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta di kota Palangka Raya tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Stratified Random Sampling dan Cluster Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, angket dan tes. Metode dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan nilai rapot kelas X semester 2 tahun pelajaran 2009/2010 digunakan untuk uji keseimbangan, metode angket untuk mengumpulkan data kreativitas belajar siswa dan metode tes untuk mengumpulkan data prestasi belajar matematika. Sebelum instrumen digunakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji coba. Analisis instrumen angket menggunakan validitas isi yang dilakukan melalui experts judgment dan reliabilitas angket Cronbach Alpha sedangkan analisis butir angket menggunakan uji konsistensi internal. Analisis instrumen tes menggunakan validitas isi oleh experts judgment dan reliabilitas tes menggunakan uji Kuder Richardson dengan KR-20, sedangkan analisis butir tes dengan uji daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Sebagai persyaratan penelitian dilakukan uji keseimbangan dengan uji-t dan sebagai persyaratan analisis data dilakukan uji normalitas dengan menggunakan metode Lilliefors dan uji homogenitas dengan menggunakan metode Bartlett. Berdasarkan kajian teori dan hasil perhitungan pada analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama diperoleh hasil: (1) Pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan Quantum Learning dengan metode Discovery lebih baik daripada menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning pada pokok bahasan Statistika. (2) Peserta didik dengan kreativitas belajar matematika tinggi, sedang maupun rendah, memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama pada pokok bahasan statistika. (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kreativitas belajar matematika peserta didik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik pada pokok bahasan statistika. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Quantum Learning memperoleh prestasi yang lebih baik dari pada peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran model Contextual Teaching Learning. (2) Peserta didik dengan kreativitas tinggi, sedang , maupun rendah memiliki prestasi yang sama. (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kreativitas terhadap prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik pada pokok bahasan statistika. Hal ini berarti : a) Peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Quantum Learning memperoleh prestasi yang lebih baik dari pada peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran model CTL baik untuk peserta didik dengan kreativitas tinggi, sedang maupun rendah. b) Peserta didik dengan kreativitas tinggi, sedang , maupun rendah memiliki prestasi yang sama baik untuk peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran model Quantum Learning maupun model pembelajaran CTL. The Effectiveness of Mathematics Learning through the Use of Quantum Learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning Approaches in the Topic of Discussion of Statistics Viewed from the Learning Creativity of the Students of Senior Secondary Schools in Palangka Raya City. The objectives of the research are to investigate: (1) whether the use of Quantum Learning approach in the Mathematics learning with the topic of discussion of Statistics results in a different learning achievement if compared to the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in the Mathematics learning with the topic of discussion of Statistics; (2) whether the students with the high learning creativity have a better learning achievement than those with the medium and low learning creativities, and the students with the medium learning creativity have a better learning achievement than those with the low learning creativity; and (3) whether there is an interaction of the learning approaches and the students’ learning creativities to their learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics. The research used a quasi-experimental research method with the factorial design of 2 x 3. It was conducted from July to December 2010. Its population was all of the students of State Senior Secondary Schools and Private Senior Secondary Schools in Palangka Raya city in the academic year of 2010/2011. The samples of the research were taken by using stratified cluster random sampling and cluster random sampling techniques. The data of the research were gathered through documentation, questionnaire, and test. The documentation was used to collect the scores of the students in Grade X in Semester 2 in the academic year of 2009/2010 based on the balanced test. The questionnaire was used to collect the data of the students’ learning creativities, and the test was used to gather the data of the students’ learning achievement in Mathematics. Prior to their use, the instruments were tested. The questionnaire was tested in terms of content validity by experts’ judgment and reliability based on Cronbach Alpha formula. The items of the questionnaire were tested by using internal consistency test. The test instrument was tested in terms of content validity by experts’ judgment and reliability based on Kuder Richardson test with KR-20. The items of the test were tested by using differentiability test and difficulty level test. The data of the research were then analyzed by using a two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. As the research pre-requisites, the balanced test was done by using t-test, and as the data analysis pre-requisites, normality and homogeneity tests were conducted. The former was done by using Lilliefors method, and the latter was done by using Bartlett method. The results of the theoretical and statistical analyses with the two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells show that: (1) the use of Quantum Learning approach with the discovery method in the Mathematics learning with the topic of discussion of Statistics results in a better learning achievement than the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in the Mathematics learning with the topic of discussion of Statistics; (2) the students with the high, medium, and low learning creativities have the same learning achievement in Mathematics with topic of discussion of Statistics; and (3) there is no any interaction of the learning approaches and the students’ learning creativities to their learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics. Based on the results of the analyses, conclusions are drawn as follows: (1) the students instructed with the Quantum Learning approach have a better learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics than those instructed with the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach; (2) the students with the high, medium, and low learning creativities have the same learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics; and (3) there is no any interaction of the learning approaches and the students’ learning creativities to their learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics, meaning that (a) the students instructed with the Quantum Learning approach have a better learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics than those instructed with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach for all high, medium, and low learning creativities; and (b) the students with the high, medium, and low learning creativities have the same learning achievement in Mathematics with the topic of discussion of Statistics for all of the students instructed either with the Quantum Learning approach or with the Contextual Learning approach.
