Desain Sensor Serat Optik untuk Pengukuran Indeks Bias Larutan Garam dan Larutan Gula

Research of Fiber Optics Sensor Design for Measurement of Salt and
Sugar Solution Refractive Index has been done. In this study, light source from
the LED (λ = 630 nm) came into the fiber optic transmitter, reflected by the
mirror, and captured by fiber optic receiver in the solution. Light intensity was
captured by a fiber optic receiver and a reference optical fiber, came into the
photo detector, the intensity converted by oscilloscope as voltage peaks (mV)
where the oscilloscope was recorded into two voltage values of voltage receiver
and voltage reference. From the experiments were observed any change in the
intensity of light captured by a fiber optic receiver caused by the changes of
distance. The higher concentration of a solution, the larger the distance of its peak
position. Regularity of the left slope and right slope of the intensity of light graph
was reflected against the unobserved of the displacement number. From the peak
position of each solution was obtained a one by one correspondence between the
peak position of each concentrate solution due to the reference which came from
the refractive index from concentrate refractometer abbe.
