SWOT analysis of dinas pariwisata Karanganyar

This final project report was written based on the job training which had been done in Dinas Pariwisata Karanganyar Regency within a month in February, 2010. This report has purposes to describe the activities of Dinas Pariwisata staff and to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Dinas Pariwisata. The data for this report were taken from the observation and interview during job training. The writer also conducted a library study, to find information related to a SWOT analysis, as a literature review to support the report. From the discussion, it can be concluded that Dinas Pariwisata has strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Dinas pariwisata has good services, relation between the staffs and good facilities. Nevertheless, it has some weaknesses such as, the passive characteristic and the limited number of guide. In addition, Dinas Pariwisata Karanganyar lacks of staff who are able to speak English well. Actually, Dinas Pariwasata has many domestic tourists that become big opportunities for Dinas Pariwisata Karanganyar to develop. But, it is also equalized by the threats that Dinas Pariwisata has
