Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kuantum Siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Ngargoyoso Karanganyar Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012

The purpose of this study is to improve the essay write ability in Class IV Students of SD Negeri 02 Ngargoyoso Karanganyar through quantum learning model. This research is a class action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects were students in class IV SD Negeri 02 Ngargoyoso, amounting to 21 students. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and testing. The data validity used is the content validity and triangulation of data. Data analysis technique used is data analysis techniques interactive model that consisting (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the results of the study there is an increased in essay write ability the class IV students of SD Negeri 02 Ngargoyoso Karanganyar after follow learning with quantum learning model. There is an increase in each cycle. The test results before the action shows the class average achieved 62,33. The results of the cycle I shows the average value of 68,33 and an increase of 6,00% of the test results before the study. On the cycle I have 13 students or (61,90%) who completed and 8 students or (38,10%) are not yet complete. Then the cycle II shows the class average achieved 73,43 and an increase of 5,1% of the tests results on a cycle I. In the cycle II there are 19 students or (90,48%) who complete and 2 students, or (9,52%) students who are not yet complete. KKM defined by 65. Keyword: writing ability and qantum learning model
