The purpose of this study was to determine student achievement in Mole
Concepts subject matter through the learning process by using STAD method
equipped with structured exercise supplement media is better than student
achievement by using STAD method equipped with diagram media.
This research uses experimental methods with Randomized Group Pretestposttest
design for cognitive aspects. The population of this study is the first
semester class X MAN 1 Wonogiri academic year 2008/2009. Sample composed
2 classes, namely class XC as experiment class 1 and class XB as class
experiment 2 selected by cluster random sampling. The main data of this study is
student achievement obtained from cognitive and affective aspects. The affective
aspects was given at posttest. Data analysis for hypothesis test performed by using
t-test on the right.
The results can be concluded that the student achievement in learning of
chemistry Mole Concept subject matter by using STAD ('Student Team
Achievement Division) method with structured exercise supplement media is
better than STAD learning method with diagram media. The result of data
analysis using t-test on the right obtained that student achievement in
experimental class with STAD with structured exercise supplement media better
than experimental class with STAD with diagram media for the cognitive aspects
(t calc > t table = 2,7154 > 1,66) and for affective aspect (tcalc > t table = 2,611> 1,66).
