Latarbelakang: Women Who First Give Birth, Taking Care Of The Babies Will Be A Please And Worried Experience, They Will Give More Attention To The Babies Especially In Term Of Health. Health Of Toddlers Or Children Under Five Years Old Children Is Still Susceptible, Immune System In Toddlers Are Not Yet Perfectly Formed, So That They Are Susceptible To Disease. Diseases That Are Often Experienced By Children Especially Toddlers Are Fever, Diarrhea, Acute Respiratory Infection. Mothers’ Ignorance On Fever, Diarrhea, And Cough Can Create Stress. The Objective Of This Research Is To Find Out The Correlation Of Understanding About Children Health And Stress To Primiparous Mothers In Kurahan Hamlet Bantul 2012. Research Methods: The Type Of Research Conducted Was Observational Analytic Applying Cross Sectional Approach. The Samples Of Research Are 45 All Mothers Who Have Toddlers In Kurahan Hamlet Bantul Acquired By Total Sampling Technique. Data Retrieval Utilized Test Instrument By Using Questionnaire. Data Analysis Employed Product Moment Correlation Test. Result: Statistical Test Found The Value Of R Calculated With Significance Level -0,487 And R Value Of 0,297 Table. Calculation Above Obtained That R Count Is Greater Than R Table. The Correlation Between These Two Variables, Comparison Of Calculation Result Of R With Correlation Coefficient Table Is Done. The Comparison Result Shows Value Of R (0,487) Lies Between 0,400-0,599 Which Means Medium. Thus, The Research Result Gives Conclusion That There Is Medium Correlation Between Understanding About The Children’s Health And Stress To Primiparous Mothers In Kurahan Hamlet Bantul 2012. Conclusion:The Higher The Understanding Of Mothers’ Understanding About Children Health The Lower The Level Of Stress Experienced When The Children Are Ill..There Is Negative Correlation Between Understanding Of Children Health And Stress To Primiparous Mothers In Kurahan Hamlet Bantul 2012.
