The steps are as follows: 1.The first reflection; 2. Fact finding analysis; 3. Action planning; 4. Action implementation; 5. Observation 6. Reflection; 7. Revised planning.
There are two types of data collected in this action research, quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data is the score of the test. Meanwhile qualitative data is the information of teaching learning process in the classroom when the teacher as the researcher teach listening by using audiovisual materials based on Information communication Technology (ICT). Qualitative data were analyzed by using Constant Comparative Method; it was proven that the use of audiovisual materials based on ICT can improve the students’ motivation in learning. The students’ attendance, students’ participant, students’ enthusiasm in joining the lesson especially listening is also increased too. For quantitative data she used Likert scale to know the difference of pre-test and post-test mean score. Based on the fifth indicators of listening skill, related to identifying the main idea, the purpose of the text, the detail information, the word meaning, and the word reference, it also proved that there was an improvement of students’ listening proficiency.
