Dye powder is produced from natural materials such as mahogany leather, tegeran wood and jambal wood leather. And then materials dried with a tool called spray dryer. Extract of the dye dissipated in a dryer tank with hot air blown by certain temperature so that evaporation occurs until the dye solution turned into dust particles and fall be dye powder. Experiments performed on the appliance spray dryer by feeding 500 ml mahogany extract containing 3.79 grams extract of dye in the tank temperature is 120°C and temperature of heater is 250°C, with time for about 60 minutes continuously. In these experiments produce as much as 3.28 grams of powder. And experiment for other materials, on tegeran wood contained of dye 3.06 grams of produce as much as 2.74 grams of powder, and then jambal wood leather, contained of dye 2.39 grams of produce as much as 2.05 grams of powder. In the application of the dye was done by using immersion dyeing with the same amount two times dipping in the dye powder that has been diluted with water in comparison concentration 1:30, 1:50 and 1:70. And the best results are obtained on immersion dyeing with 1:50 ratio. To lock the color that does not fade during washing process performed by using fixation process with tunjung leaf (FeSO4), alum and lime. Of the three kinds of fixation mentioned the best result was obtained using lime because the result inclined not change from the step before fixation. From the experiment results for several types of materials are leather of mahogany, wood of tegeran and leather of jambal wood, each of the yield obtained for the mahogany leather of 86.54%, and yield of wood tegeran obtained by 89.54% and yield to jambal material obtained by 85.77%.
