The purpose of this study is to increase beginning writing skills applying
the SAS methods of the grade I state elementary school of Kunci 03
Sidareja Cilacap. The form of the research is classroom action research by
means of two cycles. Every cycles consists of four stages, that is action plan
(planning), application (action), observing (observation), and reflection
(reflection). Data collection techniques to increase beginning writing skills
using the SAS methods used of the test and observation techniques. The
data analysis technique is used in this research is an interactive model of
Milles & Huberman analysis consisted of data collection, data reduction,
display data and verification of data or inferences. Based on the result of
this research concluded that in the pre-action, the average student’s writing
at beginning skills is 52,33 with the classical completeness 46,67%. With
Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) methods in the cycle I, the average
student’s writing at beginning skills is 65,40 with the classical completeness
66,67%. In cycle II the average student’s writing at beginning skills is 72,53
with the classical completeness 73,33%. Conclusion of this research is the
use of the SAS methods can increase student’s beginning writing skills of
the grade I state elementary school of Kunci 03 Sidareja Cilacap school
year 2009/ 2010
