The Effectiveness Of Communication Plan For Blood Donation At PMI Kota Surakarta ( A Report In 2013)

This final project was written based on the job training which was done by the writer at PMI Kota Surakarta on 26 February 2013 until 25 May 2013. The objectives are to describethe communication plan for blood donation used by PMI Kota Surakarta and the effectiveness of the communication plan for blood donation used by PMI Kota Surakarta. During the job training, the writer tried to know what the communication plans used by PMI Kota Surakarta are. The writer also took a part to do some communication plan. The key message of the communication plan is blood donation. People in Solo city and surrounding area are the target public. There are eight ways done by PMI Kota Surakarta in doing communication plan. Each communication plan has different time and place to attract blood donors. By the observation and the interview done, the writer got the result that communication plan conducted by PMI Kota Surakarta to attract donors can be practically managed. It could be seen from the number of donors who donated blood over the last 3 months had met the target or in a safe zone. The result can also be seen from the tables. Eight of thirteen tables showed that people feel interested to do blood donation because the communication plan done by PMI Kota Surakarta. Even though, thereare some communication plans that are not effective to attractthe attention ofdonors yet. It can be said that the communication plan used by PMI Kota Surakarta is effective.
