This research aims to studying the impact of currency pairs, technical indikator and time frames on profit and drawdown in forex spot market. The study also is aimed at exploring the relationship between profit and dradown. The period of studi is from November 2011 to June 2013. The study covers currency pairs EUR/USD; GBP/USD; USD/CHF and USD/JPY, time frames 1 hour; 4 hours and 1 day, technical indicator MACD; RSI; Bollinger Band; and Stochastic Oscillator. The research shows that technical analysis is profitable in currency trading, and this is proved by the fact that all combinations of currency pairs, technical indicators and time frames have yielded trading profit in forex spot market. Among the four currency pairs, EUR/USD proves to be more profitable and less risk. Although there are no significant disparity in profit, MACD technical indicator and one hour time frame much more profitable instead of another technical indicator and time frame. About the risk that came along with, RSI technical indicator and four hour time frame shows less risk compared with another technical indicator and time frame.
