Swot Analysis Strategy Of Human Puppet Show In Gwo Sriwedari Surakarta

This final project was written based on the writer’s job training activities in GWO Sriwedari Surakarta. By observing the circumstances and practicing as a staff in GWO Sriwedari, the writer could write the final project completely. The purpose of the final project were to identify the strengths and weaknesses of human puppet show in GWO Sriwedari Surakarta and to know the best strategies to develop GWO Sriwedari as one of tourists destinations in Solo city. The writer discussed the solutions to the problems faced by GWO Sriwedari to develop them self. The writer used SWOT analysis strategy in this final project. The writer had found some strengths that Human Puppet Show in GWO Sriwedari was the original one in Indonesia, the ticket to watch human puppet show in GWO Sriwedari was very cheap, GWO Sriwedari presented different story in every show, and it had a sufficient facilities. The weaknesses are GWO Sriwedariis lack of promotion and regeneration, Solo City Government has a limited fund to develop GWO Sriwedari, and there is no cooperation with private tourism enterprise in Solo. Based on the identification above the writer could explain some strategies to develop GWO Sriwedari, i.e optimizing the promotion of GWO Sriwedari by making an on air human puppet show, making a two-way online communication with people, making cooperation with private enterprises in Solo, giving subtitle about the story showed, adding professional staffs, and making a sustainable regeneration.
