The Efforts of Public Relations Division of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in Giving Information of the Public

This final project explains about Public Relations Division of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta’s efforts in giving information to the internal and external public. Public Relations has an important role in giving information from the organization or institution to its public in order to create a good image and good relationship between them. The Public Relations of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta realizes that giving information about the organization is very important because it will influence the public good-will to the organization. This final project is completed through several methods; they are; collecting, analyzing, and concluding the data. The data in this final project were obtained by holding observation in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, interviewing the staffs, and conducting a library research. Based on the observation and interview done during the job training, this final project explains the efforts done by Public Relations Division of RSUD Dr. Moewardi in giving information to the internal and external public. Through the observation, it can be seen that Public Relations Division of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta has done some efforts to give information to the internal public. Those efforts are publishing magazine called “RSDM bulletin”; making news clipping; holding a meeting; and holding senam kesegaran jasmani. The efforts done by Public Relations Division to the external public are making relationship with Mass media, such as Solo Pos, Terang Abadi (TA) television, and Mentari FM; making press release; making press conference; publishing leaflet and brochure; providing information board; and making documentation. In the end of this final project report, the writer give some suggestions to the Public Relations Division in order to improve the working system of the hospital related to the efforts in giving information to the internal and external public; they are to increasing its relationship with Mass media, printed media and electronic media, putting and spreading brochures in other strategic places, and changing the telephone operator tool which is often broken.
