The implementation of teacher feedback of collaborative learning in teaching writing (A Case Study at SMAIT Nur Hidayah Kartasura 2012 / 2013)

The objectives of this research are (1) describing the implementation of collaborative learning in teaching writing to the tenth grade students; (2) identifying problems on the implementation of collaborative learning in teaching writing; (3) offering solutions to overcome the problems in teaching writing. The research method used in this research is qualitative research case study. The subjects of this research were the tenth grade students of SMA Islam Terpadu Nur Hidayah Kartasura in the Academic Year of 2012/2013 which consisted of 27 students. The sample is class X.3 by using purposive sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used interview, classroom observation and document. The data were analyzed through three things namely data reduction, data presentation and cover conclusion The result of the research revealed three major findings which consist of: (1) description of the Teacher Feedback as one method of Collaborative Learning in teaching writing; (2) the difficulties found from the teacher and students? point of view in implementing of Teacher Feedback; (3) proposed solutions by the teacher to overcome the difficulties on the implementation of Teacher Feedback of Collaborative Learning. Based on the research findings, it can be summarized that the implementation of Teacher Feedback as one of Collaborative Learning activities in teaching writing to the tenth grade students of SMAIT Nur Hidayat Kartasura can be used as an alternative method in the teaching writing process. For other researchers who intended to conduct the research more detailed about Collaborative Learning activities, the researcher hopes that the research findings can be utilized as reference.
