Degradasi Fotoelektrokatalitik Rhodamine B Dengan Fotoanoda Ti/Tio2-Nio Pada Sistem Flow

The photoelectrocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B with Ti/TiO2-NiO photoanode by flow system has been conducted. This study aims to determine the increase in photoelectrocatalytic activity TiO2 after addition of NiO, voltage effect and flow rate in photoelectrocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B. Synthesis of TiO2 by sol gel method with precursor Titanium Tetra Isopropoksida (TTIP), while the composite TiO2-NiO by wet impregnation method. And then TiO2-NiO composite was sprayed on surface Titanium electrode. The characterization was conducted by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourrier Transform Infra Red (FTIR). Difractogram XRD of TiO2 showed the characteristic peak of anatase TiO2 at 2? = 25°. Difractogram XRD of TiO2-NiO composite showed the characteristic peak of TiO2-NiO composite at 2? = 33°. The presence of NiO indicated by the FTIR absorption at 412,77 cm-1. The photoelectrocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B has been conducted by Ti/TiO2-NiO and Ti/TiO2 electrode with 300 watt halogen lamp in concentration 100 ppm rhodamine B. The highest degradation result of rhodamine B with photoanode Ti/TiO2-NiO was conducted at voltage 7 volt and flow rate 3 mL/s. The maximum result degradation of rhodamine B on combination system by Ti/TiO2-NiO, Ti/PbO2, Ti/IrO2-Ta2O5 and Ti/RuO2-IrO2 photoanode was showed at voltage 7 volt and flow rate 3 mL/s.
