The Implemementation of Post-Placenta IUD Method in Family Planing Program of dr. Soekandar Local General Hospital of Mojokerto Regency

Background: Contraception is a part of reproductive care to regulate pregnancy and every individual’s right as sexual creature. Post-placenta IUD contraception method is AKDR (IUD) generally Cu-T type implanted into fundus uterine ten minutes after placenta birth, aiming to prevent the conception from occurring; such the family planning method is administered to post-parturition women.
Objective: a. To  describe the background of deciding the implementation  of post-placenta IUD contraception method program, b. To describe the implementation of post-placenta IUD contraception method in family  planning
program of Dr. Soekandar Local General Hospital, c. To describe the result achieved in the implementation of post-placenta IUD contraception method in family planning program of Dr. Soekandar Local General Hospital of Mojokerto Regency, d. To describe the constraints found and how to overcome the implementation of post-placenta IUD contraception method in family planning program of Dr. Soekandar Local General Hospital of Mojokerto Regency, e. To describe the attempt taken to make post-placenta IUD contraception method can
be enjoyed by the public.
Research Method: The research design using a descriptive qualitative. The data source included informant, event or activity, and document. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and document. Data reliability test was conducted using triangulation including source, method and time.
Result: The implementation of post-placenta IUD contraception was successful. A Family Planning Poly was required to cater all types of contraception method. The constraints included the delayed availability of contraceptives, a brief and momentary counseling difficult to understand to the client, in post-partum
hemorrhage case, contraceptive installing was done by managing the bleeding first, no aid in decision making as the counseling supporting means. In improving the competence of program executor, training and education were required related to Family Planning service. To make the post-placenta IUD contraception method
preferred by the public, promotion and success publication were conducted via media, and by giving satisfaction with Family Planning Service.
Conclusion: Post-placenta IUD contraception method, as an alternative program, improved the achievement of new acceptor scope in Post-Parturition Family Planning Program in Hospital, and helped post-parturition mother no to rethink about the contraceptives to be used.
