Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan Gizi Seimbang dengan Asupan Makanan pada Siswa Sma Negeri 3 Surakarta

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang : Ketidakseimbangan asupan makan pada remaja akan menimbulkan masalah gizi yang bisa berdampak pada status kesehatan saat dewasa. Pengetahuan gizi seimbang diperlukan untuk menerapkan asupan makan yang baik. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan asupan makan. Metode : Penelitian ini mengggunakan desain penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan cluster sampling sebanyak 108 siswa. Instrumentasi penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan food recall 24 hours. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik pearson. Hasil : Sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan gizi yang masih kurang (56.5%). Berdasarkan uji statistik, terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan asupan makan berdasarkan asupan besi (p=0.004). Namun, tidak ada hubungan berdasarkan asupan energi (p=0.138) dan asupan protein (p=0.165). Simpulan : Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan asupan besi. Akan tetapi, tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan asupan energi dan asupan protein.

ABSTRACT

Background: The imbalance of food intake on adolescent may cause nutrition problems that could impact on their health status when they grown up. Balanced nutrition knowledge is required to implement a good food intake. The purpose of the study is to investigate the correlation between students’ nutrition knowledge and their food intake. Methods: This research was an observational analytic study using traditional design with cross sectional approach. Cluster sampling was used as sampling technique with 108 students. The research Instrument was questionnaires and 24 hours food recall. The data was analyzed by using Pearson statistical test. Results: The result showed that most respondents had lack knowledge of nutrition (56.5%). Based on the statistical test, there was a correlation between nutrition knowledge and food intake in terms of iron intake (p = 0.004). However, there was no correlation between nutrition knowledge and food intake viewed from energy intake (p = 0.138) and protein intake (p = 0.165). Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between nutrition knowledge and iron intake. However, there was no correlation between nutrition knowledge and energy and protein intake.
