ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) pengaruh pengalaman praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan kerja, 2) pengaruh motivasi memasuki dunia kerja terhadap kesiapan kerja dan 3) pengaruh pengalaman praktik kerja industri dan motivasi memasuki dunia kerja secara bersama-sama terhadap kesiapan kerja peserta didik kelas XII SMK Negeri 1 Pedan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.
.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XII SMK Negeri 1 Pedan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII sebanyak 72, yang diambil dengan cara Proportionate random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) secara parsial menunjukkan pengaruh variabel praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan kerja, 2) secara parsial menunjukkan pengaruh variabel motivasi memasuki dunia kerja terhadap kesiapan kerja dan 3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara variabel pengalaman praktik kerja industri dan motivasi terhadap kesiapan kerja, 4) Sumbangan efektif keseluruhan model adalah sebesar 53.4% terhadap kesiapan kerja sedangkan 46,6% dari variabel lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the effect of industrial work practice experience on the work preparedness; (2) the effect of motivation enter the world of work on the work preparedness; and (3) the simultaneous effect of industrial work practice experience and motivation to enter the world of work on the work preparedness of the students in Grade XII of State Vocational High School 1 of Pedan in Academic Year 2012/2013.
.This research used the quantitative research method. Its population was all of the students in Grade XII of State Vocational High School 1 of Pedan in Academic Year 2012/2013. The samples of research consisted of 72 students. They were taken by using the proportionate random sampling technique. The data of research were collected through observation, questionnaire, and documentation. They were analyzed by using the regression analysis.
The results of research are as follows: (1) partially there is an effect of the variable of industrial work practice experience on the work preparedness; (2) partially there is an effect of the variable of motivation to enter the world of work on the work preparedness; and (3) there is an interaction effect of the variables of industrial work practice experience and motivation to enter the world of work on the work preparedness. The overall effective contribution of the model to the work preparedness is 53.4% whereas the rest 46.6% is contributed by other variables which are not discussed in the current research.
