ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) ada atau tidak adanya kontribusi kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa SMA kelas X; (2) ada atau tidak adanya kontribusi pemanfaatan sumber brlajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa SMA kelas X ; (3) ada atau tidak adanya kontribusi kecerdasan emosional dan pemanfaatan sumber belajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa SMA kelas X.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksplorasi. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X sejumlah 288 siswa dengan sampel 56 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik dokumentasi digunakan untuk mendapatkan data kecerdasan emosional, pemanfaatan sumber belajar dan kemampuan kognitif fisika. Analisis data menggunakan analisis teknik regresi linier ganda dengan uji prasyarat hipotesis meliputi uji normalitas, uji independensi, dan uji linieritas. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t.
Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa: (1) Ada kontribusi relatif kecil kecerdasan emosional terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun ajaran 2012/2013 dengan koefisien regresi 0.609 dengan sumbangan relatif sebesar 10,7219% dan sumbangan efektifnya 0.4963%; (2) Ada kontribusi relatif kecil pemanfaatan sumber belajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun ajaran 2012/2013 dengan koefisien regresi 1.5525 dengan sumbangan relatif sebesar 89.2781% dan sumbangan efektifnya 4.1321%; (3) Ada kontribusi relatif kecil antara kecerdasan emosional dan pemanfaatan sumber belajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar tahun ajaran 2012/2013 memberikan kontribusi sebesar 4,6284%.

ABTRACT
The purposes of this researcher are to determine: ( 1 ) whether there is or there is not a contribution of emotional quotient toward student’s cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X; ( 2 ) whether there is or there is not a contribution of learning resource using toward student’s cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X; ( 3 ) whether there is or there is not a contribution of emotional quotient and learning resource using toward student’s cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X.
The method used is eksploration method . The population of this research are all students in science class grade X some 288 students with with a sample of 56 students. Sampling taken with random sampling technique. Data collection techniques are documentation. Documentation technique is used to collect emotional quotient , learning resource using and student’s cognitive abilities of physics data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the data requirement technique are normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Hypothesis test used t test.
Based on this research, it can be concluded that: ( 1 ) There is small relative contribution of emotional quotient toward cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X of SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar academic year 2012/2013 with a regression coefficient of 0.609, with a relative contribution of 10.7219% and efektive contribution of 0.4963%; ( 2 ) There is small relative contribution of learning resource using toward cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X of SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar academic year 2012/2013 with a regression coefficient of 1.5525, with a relative contribution of 89.278% and efektive contribution of 4.1321%; ( 3 ) There is small relative contribution between emotional quotient and learning resource using toward cognitive abilities of physics senior high school grade X of SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar academic year 2012/2013 with contribution of 4,6284%.
