Penggunaan Model Cooperative Script dengan Bahan Bacaan Koran untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca Intensif di Kelas IV SDN Peneket Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015

ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran; (2) meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif di kelas IV SDN Peneket tahun ajaran 2014/2015; dan (3) mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran di kelas IV SDN Peneket tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Peneket yang berjumlah 29 siswa terdiri dari 19 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah siswa, guru, dan observer. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, catatan lapangan, angket, dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan atau verifikasi..
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran dilaksanakan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (a) pembentukan kelompok secara berpasangan; (b) pembagian bahan bacaan koran; (c) pembagian peran dan pelaksanaan kegiatan membaca intensif; (d) presentasi; (e) bertukar peran; dan (f) kesimpulan; (2) penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif di kelas IV SDN Peneket tahun ajaran 2014/2015, yang ditunjukkan dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa, pada siklus I sebesar 57,64%, siklus II sebesar 85,19%, dan siklus III sebesar 93,11% (3) Kendala penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran sebagai berikut: (a) kesulitan membangkitkan keberanian siswa; (b) kesulitan membuat siswa fokus dalam pelajaran; (c) kesulitan membangun interaksi antarsiswa saat diskusi; dan (d) kesulitan membangkitkan minat dan semangat siswa. Solusi yang dilaksanakan adalah: (a) memberikan motivasi secara terus menerus kepada siswa agar berani dan percaya diri; (b) mengingatkan siswa untuk fokus mengikuti pelajaran; (c) membimbing dan memfasilitasi kelompok dalam kegiatan diskusi; (d) melakukan permainan sederhana saat pergantian kelompok.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model Cooperative Script dengan bahan bacaan koran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif di kelas IV SDN Peneket tahun ajaran 2014/2015.

ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the steps of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials; (2) to improve intensive reading skills at the fourth grade students of SDN Peneket in the academic year of 2014/2015; and (3) to describe problems and solutions in the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials at the fourth grade students of SDN Peneket in the academic year of 2014/2015.
This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in three cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection on each cycle. Subjects in this research were 29 students in the fourth grade of SDN Peneket, consisting of 19 male and 10 female students. The sources of data were gathered from the students, teacher and observers. The techniques of collecting data were observations, field note, questionnaire, and test. Validity data in this research was examined by using technique and source triangulation. The techniques of analyzing data applied quantitative and  qualitative analysis, including data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification.
The results of this research show that: (1) the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials conducted with the following steps: (a) the formation of group, (b) distribution of newspaper reading materials, (c) division of roles and implementation of intensive reading; (d) presentation, (e) exchanging of role, and (f) conclusion; (2) the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials can improve intensive reading skills at the fourth grade students of SDN Peneket in the academic year of 2014/2015 that was proved by the students learning outcomes for the first cycle was 57.64%, 85.19% in the second cycle, and 93.11% in the third cycle; (3) the problems in the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials consist of the difficulty to; (a) generate student’s braveness; (b) to make student’s focus on the lessons; (c) to develop interaction among students during discussion; and (d) to generate student’s interest and spirit. Solutions are: (a) continuously motivate students to be brave and confident; (b) remind students to keep their focus during the lesson; (c) guide and facilitate group discussion; and (d) conduct simple game during the switch of group.
The conclusion of this research is the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials can improve intensive reading skills at the fourth grade students of SDN Peneket in the academic year of 2014/2015.
