The activities of tourist information center (tic) of disbudpar Surakarta

This final project is written based on the job training for two months in Tourists Information Center (TIC) Surakarta. The objectives of this report are to describe the activities of TIC, to know the problems encountered in doing the activities, and to handle the problem.
TIC of DISBUDPAR Surakarta has responsibilities in doing the activities. The responsibilities are to help Promotion, Marketing, and Cooperation division of DISBUDPAR Surakarta in promoting tourism of Solo by providing information to the tourists directly, providing printed media, and participating in roadshow. In addition, TIC also has responsibility to build good image by providing excellent service that applied five dimensions of quality service which are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, emphaty, and tangibility.
There were many problems encountered by TIC. The problems were related to the location and facilities, human resources who could not speak other foreign languages besides English and
