ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Efektivitas model pembelajaran Earth Science Community (EarthComm) berbantuan media Google Earth terhadap hasil belajar pesertadidik (2) Pegangaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar pesertadidik (3) Interaksi model pembelajaran dan motivasi terhadap hasilbelajar pesertadidik.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis quasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah seluruh kelas X IPS SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel dengan Cluster Sampling. Sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas X IPS 1 dan kelas X IPS 2. Teknik pengumpulan data hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan teknik tes dalam bentuk tes obyektif pilihan ganda dan angket untuk motivasi belajar peserta didik yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, kemudian diberikan sesudah perlakuan penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistic deskriptif dan Statistik Parametrik dengan bantuan SPSS 19.0 for windows yaitu uji ANAVA dua arah pada taraf signifikasi 5%.
Analisis data dilakukan dengan Uji ANAVA dua arah menunjukan hasil analisis : (1)Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Earthcomm berbantuan Media Google Earth terhadap hasil belajar pesertadidik, (2) Terdapat pengaruh motivasi terhadap hasil belajar pesertadidik, (3) Tidak terdapat interasksi antara model dan motivasi terhadap hasil belajar ranah kongnitif peserta didik.
Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran EarthComm berbantuan media Google Earth lebih baik digunakan pada materihidrosfer serta tingkat motivasi belajar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik

ABSTRACT
The aims of this research are to investigate: (1) The effectiveness of Earth Science Community (EarthComm) learning model on students’ learning outcomes (2) the influence of the students’ motivation to their learning outcomes (3) The interaction of learning model and the students’ motivation to their learning outcomes.
This research was a quasi experimental research. The population was all the first grade students of social study program classes in SMA N 3 Surakarta academic year 2014/2015. The Samples were determined through Cluster Sampling. The selected samples were X IPS 1 class and X IPS 2 class. An objective test in the form of multiple choice test was employed to obtain the data of students’ learning outcome while questionnaire was used to obtain the data of students' motivation that had gone through validity and reliability test, then was given after the treatment. The data were analyzed with Statistics and Parametric Descriptive with SPSS19.0 for windows i. e. two-way ANOVA at 5% significance level.
The data analyzed using two-way ANOVA test showed that: (1) there was a difference between the effects of the use of Earthcomm Learning Model and Conventional Teaching on learning outcomes, (2) there was a difference in the effect between students who have high motivation and low motivation on cognitive abilities, and (3) there was no interaction between the model and students’ motivation for learning outcomes in cognitive aspect.
The conclusions of this research are that the application of EarthComm learning models is better used in the hydrosphere material and motivation also effects on the students’ learning outcomes.
