Abstract: This research aimed to find out whether or not there was a effect of auditory intellectually Repetition model on students’ civic skills in basic competency of expressing freedom of speech in the 7th graders of SMP Negeri 1 Banyudono. The methods of collecting data used were questionnaire, observation, and document analysis. The analytical prerequisite test used included normality and homogeneity tests. Technique analyzing data used was quantitative data with t-test analysis. Considering the result of research, the mean score of civic skill questionnaire was 72.188 for the students in experiment group and 68.438 for those in control group. The result of t-test at significance level of 5% showed degree of freedom (df = 32 + 32 – 2 = 62) with t table = 1.993 and the result of data analysis showed tstatistic > ttable or 2.172 > 1.1992 so that Ho was not supported and Ha was supported. From the elaboration above, it could be concluded that there was a significant effect of Auditory Intellectually Repetition model on students’ civic skills in basic competency of expressing freedom of speech (A Study on the 7th graders of SMP Negeri 1 Banyudono in the school year of 2014/2015)
