Background: PT. X Plant 2 Pegangsaan, North Jakarta had not made assessment on the implementation of OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response. The objective of research was to find out the compatibility of Emergency Preparedness and Response in PT.X Plant 2 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response and how the achievement of the implementation of OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response was in PT.X Plant 2.
Method: This study was conducted using descriptive method, by assessing, investigating, and evaluating the writing object. The data was obtained using interview and observation. The data analysis was conducted using OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response.
Result: PT. X Plant 2 had had Emergency Preparedness and Response procedure. The development of emergency plan was conducted by identifying first the type and scale of emergency occurring. Such the plan was intended to anticipate a variety of emergency scenario. To make the developed procedure effective, there should be training and simulation involving all of employees. As the follow-up of training and simulation, evaluation and correction measure register were made, in order to anticipate and to minimize the loss of life, company asset and surrounding environment damage.
Conclusion: The stipulation in OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response had been applied by PT. X Plant 2. The proportion of compliance with OHSAS 18001: 2007 clause 4.4.7 Emergency Preparedness and Response was 90%.
