Hubungan antara anemia dengan prestasi belajar siswi SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta

Latar Belakang : Anemia menyebabkan anak usia sekolah  sulit  berkonsentrasi, mengurangi  kemampuan  belajar,  menurunkan daya  ingat, sehingga  berpengaruh  pada prestasi belajar seorang anak. Data Riskesdas tahun 2013 presentase anemia remaja putri sebanyak 22,7%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara anemia dengan prestasi belajar pada siswi SMA Islam Diponegoro Surakarta.

Metode Penelitian : Deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Tehnik sampling menggunakan quota sampling sebanyak 40 responden. Data kadar Hb diperoleh melalui pemeriksaan metode cyanmethemoglobin dan data prestasi  belajar diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata rapor UTS. Data dianalisis menggunakan Kendall’s Tau dengan bantuan SPSS For Windows versi 17.

Hasil :  Sebanyak 62.5% responden tidak anemia, 5.0%  anemia sedang, 60.0% responden nilai B+ dan 17.5% responden nilai A-. Hasil uji analisis Kendall’s tau menunjukkan nilai p = 0.378 (p>0.05) dan r = -0.132  sehingga membuktikan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara anemia dengan prestasi belajar.

Kesimpulan : tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara anemia dengan prestasi belajar.
Background: Anemia causes the school-age children to be difficult to concentrate, reduces their learning ability, and lowers their memory. All of which finally affect their learning achievement. The data of Basic Health Research of 2013 show that the percentage of female adolescents with anemia was 22.7%.  Objective: To investigate the correlation between the anemia and the learning achievement of the female students of Islam Diponegoro Senior Secondary School of Surakarta.

Method: This research used the descriptive analytical research method with cross-sectional approach. The samples of research were taken by using the quota sampling technique and consisted of 40 respondents. The data of hemoglobin level were collected through examination with cyanmethemoglobin method, and those of learning achievement were obtained through the students’ mid-term average score. They were analyzed by using the Kendall’s Tau Test aided with the computer program of SPSS for Windows Version 17.

Result: 62.5% of the respondents did not have anemia, 5.0% suffered from moderate anemia. 60.0% of the respondents attained Grade B+, and 17.5% achieved Grade A-. The result of Kendall’s tau test shows that the p-value was 0.378 (p>0.05) and the r-value was -0.132, indicating that there was not any significant correlation between the anemia and the learning achievement.

Conclusion: There was not any significant correlation between the anemia and the learning achievement.
