ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa di SMP Negeri V Wonogiri melalui metode pembelajaran Tutor Teman Sebaya (TTS), (2) Untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa di SMP Negeri V Wonogiri melalui metode pembelajaran Tutor Teman Sebaya (TTS)
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan model Kurt Lewin dan model Kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus diawali tahap persiapan kemudian dilanjutkan tahap pelaksanaan siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri V Wonogiri Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 27 siswa dengan penelitian dikhususkan pada materi pokok Cahaya. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan, wawancara dengan guru, ulangan harian, angket, tes dan kajian dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik kualitatif didukung data kuantitatif.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan metode Tutor Teman Sebaya (TTS) melalui model pembelajaran Kooperatif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi Cahaya kelas VIII E SMP Negeri V Wonogiri Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Pada pra siklus ketuntasan siswa sebesar 29,62%, siklus I sebesar 44,44% dan ketuntasan belajar siswa dapat mencapai 81,48 % pada siklus II dengan KKM sebesar 75. Ini telah melampaui target/indikator yang diharapkan yaitu 75%. (2) Penerapan metode Tutor Teman Sebaya (TTS) melalui model pembelajaran Kooperatif dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi Cahaya kelas VIII E SMP Negeri V Wonogiri Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Dari empat aspek aktivitas belajar yang menjadi fokus penelitian diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: (a) Visual Activities dapat mencapai 96,29% pada siklus II dari 64,81% pada pra siklus dan 72,22% pada siklus I dengan target penelitian pada aspek ini sebesar 80%, (b) Oral Activities dapat mencapai 42,77 % pada siklus II dari 6,47% pada pra siklus dan 30,08 pada siklus I dengan target penelitian pada aspek ini sebesar 40%, (c) Listening activities dapat mencapai 81,47 % pada siklus II dari 0% pada pra siklus dan 59,25% pada siklus I dengan target penelitian pada aspek ini sebesar 70%, (d) Writing Activities dapat mencapai 77,77 % pada siklus II dari 38,88% pada pra siklus dan 60,18% pada siklus I dengan target penelitian pada aspek ini sebesar 70%.

ABSTRACT
This study aims : ( 1 ) To improve the cognitive abilities of students in the SMP V Wonogiri through learning methods Peer Tutor ( TTS ) , ( 2 ) To enhance the students' learning activities in SMP V Wonogiri through learning methods Peer Tutor ( TTS ).
This study is a Class Action Research (Classroom Action Research ) with a model of Kurt Lewin and collaborative models were conducted in two cycles . Each cycle begins preparation phase then continued implementation phase of the cycle which consisted of action planning , action, observation and evaluation , aswell as reflections . The subjects were students of class VIII E SMPN V Wonogiri Academic Year 2014/2015 by 27 students with research devoted to the subject matter of Light . Data obtained through observation , interviews with teachers , daily tests , questionnaires and review documents. Data analysis technique used was qualitative techniques supported by quantitative data .
Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: (1) Application of the method Tutor Peer (TTS) through Cooperative learning model can improve the cognitive abilities of students in the class Light material VIII E SMPN V Wonogiri Academic Year 2014/2015. In the pre-cycle student mastery of 29.62%, the first cycle of 44.44% and mastery learning students can reach 81.48% in the second cycle with KKM of 75. It has exceeded the target / indicator is expected that 75%. (2) Application of the method Tutor Peer (TTS) through a cooperative learning model can improve students' learning activities in light material class VIII E SMPN V Wonogiri Academic Year 2014/2015. Of the four aspects of learning activities that are the focus of research obtained the following results: (a) Visual Activities may reach 96.29% in the second cycle of 64.81% in the pre-cycle and 72.22% in the first cycle with the target research on this aspect by 80%, (b) Oral Activities may reach 42.77% in the second cycle of 6.47% in pre-cycle and 30.08 in the first cycle with the target research on this aspect by 40%, (c) Listening activities can be reached 81.47% in the second cycle of 0% in the pre-cycle and 59.25% in the first cycle with the target research on this aspect by 70%, (d) Writing Activities may reach 77.77% in the second cycle of 38.88% on pre-cycle and 60.18% in the first cycle with the target research on this aspect by 70%.
