Hubungan Pola Asuh Ibu dengan Temper Tantrum pada Anak Usia 2-4 Tahun di Pos Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Tunas Bhakti Kota Surakarta

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi orang tua pada fase perkembangan emosi anak adalah temper tantrum yang harus ditangani secara tepat. Orang tua terutama ibu meemiliki peranan penting dalam perkembangan anak. Pola asuh yang diterapkan ibu sangat dominan membentuk kepribadian anak dari kecil hingga dewasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya hubungan antara pola asuh ibu dengan temper tantrum pada anak usia 2-4 tahun.
Metode: Jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 38 orang. Instrumentasi penelitian menggunakan kuisioner. Uji hipotesis menggunakan koefisien kontingensi.
Hasil: Sebanyak 26 responden (44,8%) dari 35 responden memiliki kecenderungan pola asuh demokratis dan 25 responden (51,7%) memiliki anak dengan temper tantrum ringan. Hasil analisis koefisien kontingensi yaitu p = 0,003 (p < 0,05) dengan r = 0,560.
Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pola asuh ibu dengan temper tantrum pada anak usia 2-4 tahun di Pos PAUD Tunas Bhakti Surakarta.

ABSTRACT
Background: One of the problems encountered by parents during the phase of children’s emotional development is temper tantrum which must be dealt appropriately. Parents particularly the mothers have important roles for the development of children.  The maternal parenting very much dominantly shapes the children’s personality from their childhood to their adulthood. This research to investigate the correlation between the maternal parenting and the temper tantrum of toddlers aged 2 – 4 years old.
Method: This research used the observational analytical with the cross sectional approach. The samples of research were taken by using the total sampling technique and consisted of 38 respondents. The data of research were collected through questionnaire. The proposed hypotheses of research were analyzed by using the contingency coefficient.
Result: Of 35 respondents, 26 (44.8%) had the tendency of democratic maternal parenting, and 25 respondents (51.7%) had children with mild temper tantrum. The result of contingency coefficient analysis shows that the p-value was 0.003 (p < 0.05) with the r-value = 0.560.
Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between the maternal parenting and the temper tantrum of the children’s aged 2 – 4 years old at Early Childhood Education Tunas Bhakti of Surakarta.
